Side Reader is a Chrome extension that allows you to chat effortlessly with any PDF within the chatgpt.com website.

After you select text in the PDF, buttons for interacting with ChatGPT will pop up, including:

  • Translate: Send the text to ChatGPT and have ChatGPT translate it
  • Explain: Send the text to ChatGPT and have ChatGPT explain it
  • Summarize: Send the text to ChatGPT and have ChatGPT summarize it
  • Copy: Copy to clipboard
  • Copy to input: Copy to the ChatGPT chat interface’s input box
